Bonham Coutts

About us

A one stop solutions provider.

Sterling Gold Securities brings together three things that usually sit apart: raising money, developing the project the money is for, and presenting the result to investors who are qualified to consider it.

Our history

Sterling Gold Securities is the trading name of Bonham Coutts Ltd, a private company limited by shares, incorporated in England and Wales on 3 August 2026 under company number 17377911.

We are a newly established business, and we say so plainly. We make no claim to a historical investment record, because we do not have one — and a firm that overstates its past is not one you should trust with your capital or your project.

What we bring is research capability, feasibility expertise, the ability to prepare investor-grade documentation, and the connections to arrange commercial finance. Those are testable claims, and we are content to be tested on them.

Our heritage

The Bonham Coutts name carries an expectation: discretion, judgement, and a preference for doing fewer things properly rather than many things quickly. That is the standard the current business is built to.

[PLACEHOLDER — PENDING VERIFICATION] A fuller account of the origins of the name and the business will be published once the record is confirmed.

Our experience

Experience in this business is not measured in years on a letterhead. It is measured in the number of times you have seen a plan meet reality and learned what the difference costs.

[PLACEHOLDER — TEAM] Named biographies, with verifiable credentials and sector experience, are published on our team page. Investors and business owners are entitled to know who they are dealing with.

Our approach

We start with the question most people skip: is this fundable, and should it be? A project that is not ready does not become ready by being presented more persuasively.

We will not put a figure on a development until we understand what the development involves. Pricing an opportunity before understanding it is how raises fail.

We assess before we introduce, and the outcome of that assessment is recorded. We do not present every opportunity to every investor — a good opportunity in the wrong hands is still the wrong outcome.

Our expertise

  • Fundraising structure and preparation — what a raise should look like before it goes out.
  • Project development, feasibility and strategic planning.
  • SEIS and EIS structuring, and the conditions a company must meet and maintain.
  • Property and development projects.
  • Alternative and asset-backed investments, including gold.
  • Investor qualification and the compliance framework that governs it.

Our network

Our value to a business raising money is not only the capital. It is knowing which investors are genuinely interested in that sector, at that stage, at that size — and which are not, so that no one's time is wasted.

Our value to an investor is the reverse: opportunities that have been through a process before they reach you, with the assessment work already done and documented.

Our values

  • Accuracy before persuasion. We would rather lose a mandate than overstate one.
  • Say no early. A declined opportunity costs far less than a failed one.
  • Compliance is the floor, not the ceiling. Meeting the rules is where we start.
  • Discretion. Investor information and business information both stay where they belong.
  • Plain English. If a document needs decoding, it has not been written properly.

Our one stop solutions model

Most businesses seeking capital deal with three separate parties: an adviser who structures the raise, a consultant who develops the project, and an intermediary who finds investors. Each hands over to the next, and detail is lost at every handover.

We hold all three. The people who assessed the project are the people who structure the raise and the people who present it. Nothing is explained second-hand.

  • Fundraising — preparing businesses and projects for funding, and making appropriate investor introductions.
  • Project development — structuring, feasibility and strategic planning.
  • Investment services — presenting appropriate opportunities to qualified investors through a controlled process.

Our commitment to investors

  • You will see what we know, including what we do not know.
  • You will not be shown an opportunity until you are qualified to consider it — that is a legal requirement, and we treat it as one.
  • Projections are labelled as projections. We do not present a forecast as an outcome.
  • No opportunity is described as suitable for you. We do not give advice, and we will tell you when you should take it from someone who does.
  • Your data is held for a stated purpose, for a stated period, and marketing consent is asked for separately from anything else.

Our commitment to businesses and project owners

  • An honest assessment of whether you are ready, before anything is sent to an investor.
  • Clarity on what needs to change if you are not.
  • Your information is shown only to investors who have qualified and, where appropriate, under confidentiality.
  • No introduction is made simply because it is possible to make it.

Why Sterling Gold

Because the assessment happens before the introduction, not after the money moves. Because the same people carry a project from feasibility through to funding. And because we are prepared to say that something is not ready, which is the only thing that makes it worth anything when we say that it is.

We are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, and we say so plainly on every page. What we offer is judgement, process, and a network — not regulated advice.
