For entrepreneurs and project owners
Commercial finance.
We arrange commercial finance for projects and businesses. We are not a lender, and we do not provide the funding ourselves.
What arranging means
Arranging finance means preparing a proposition properly, identifying funders whose criteria it actually fits, presenting it to them, and managing the process through to completion.
It does not mean lending. Sterling Gold Securities does not provide capital, does not hold client money, and is not a bank. Any funding comes from a third-party funder on that funder's terms, under a direct agreement between them and you.
What we do
- Establish what the project actually needs — amount, timing, drawdown profile, and term.
- Determine which forms of finance are appropriate and which are not.
- Prepare the proposition, drawing on the feasibility work and the financial model.
- Identify and approach funders whose criteria the proposition genuinely meets.
- Manage the process: information requests, funder due diligence, and completion.
Forms of finance we work with
- Development and project finance, drawn in stages against milestones.
- Bridging and short-term facilities where there is a defined exit.
- Asset-backed and secured lending.
- Equity investment, including SEIS and EIS where the company qualifies.
- Mixed structures, where debt and equity together fit better than either alone.
What determines whether finance can be arranged
Funders look at the same things every time: is the proposition properly prepared, is the security or structure adequate, does the borrower have the capability to deliver, and is there a credible exit or repayment route.
Most propositions that fail do so on preparation rather than merit. That is why we do the feasibility and documentation work first — it is the part we can control, and it is the part most often missing.
What we do not do
- We do not lend, and we do not provide funding from our own resources.
- We do not give regulated financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
- We do not guarantee that finance will be arranged, or on what terms — that is the funder's decision.
- We do not recommend a particular facility as suitable for you. You should take independent advice before entering into any finance agreement.
Regulatory position
Sterling Gold Securities is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Commercial finance to businesses is generally unregulated, but not always — some agreements, particularly those involving individuals, sole traders or residential property, fall within the regulated perimeter.
Where a proposed arrangement would be a regulated activity, we will say so and it will be handled by an appropriately authorised firm. We do not undertake regulated activities ourselves.
